Proper Exercise Technique
Grasp bars with a pronated or supinated grip, hands shoulder width apart. Pull body up until chin is over bar, pause briefly and lower body to starting position.
The proper movement involves reinforcing spinal alignment and preventing your body from rocking. Some body weight may be supported by keeping feet/knees in contact with bench for beginners or higher-repetition erxercisers.
