Natural Bodybuilder Rob Morton
The biggest disappointment of my career was taking advice from someone that knew nothing about nutrition and eating 3 1/2 dozen egg whites a day...little did I know that egg whites have 55 mg of sodium per egg white, and I was wondering why I was holding water all over the place (Oh I know now*smile*) In bodybuilding learned that I had to fall in love with my every body part and that anytime you don't fall in love with your body, in this sport, lacking body parts stick out and display the lack of love you showed it. As natural bodybuilders, we are already ahead of 80% of the people in the world that don't really show love for their bodies. What I like most about bodybuilding is the tenacity it takes to succeed, Bodybuilding, Scholastic Wrestling and Track & Field are the hardest sports in the world, hands down, and there is not another sport where you are required to put forth as much intensity, as these.
2 days on & 1 day off using a push/pull method of training · Day One: Chest/Biceps I utilize 2 methods of training and they change by the week. This would be during the Maintaining Phase (MP) as well Conditioning Phase (CP) of my training, both Pre and Post season. They consist of both a mass building and strength building process. · MP & CP Phase 1, I do all moves for 4 sets of 12-15 reps on every move. My nutrition schedule changes depending on where I am during the year. I follow a nutrition guide that is designed to enhance my physique based on my blood type, which happens to be A+. I'm a strong believer in having your nutrition administered this way because your body metabolizes food differently either promoting weight gain or weight loss depending on your blood type versus the types of food you consume. Below is an actual nutrition plan that I've used to prepare for a competition in 2004: Upon Waking: 2 Kelp Capsules Meal 1: (5am - 7am) 7 Egg whites 2 Vital Nutrients, 1/2 tsp. trace mineral research drops (must contain at least 70 minerals), 1 tbsp. glutamine Meal 2: (2 hours later) 1 can albacore tuna Romaine Lettuce Salad - with any vegetables from your POWER or NEUTRAL FOOD LISTS and low-fat/low-sugar dressing. 2 Vital Nutrients & 1 Kelp Capsule Meal 3: (2 hours later) 7 egg whites 2 Vital Nutrients & 1 Kelp Capsule Meal 4 (2 hours later) 5 oz fish from POWER FOODS LIST or 5 oz. chicken breast or 5 oz. turkey breast Romaine Lettuce Salad - with any vegetables from your POWER or NEUTRAL FOOD LISTS and low-fat/low-sugar dressing. 2 Vital Nutrients, 1 Kelp Capsule, 1/2 tsp.
