Fitness Competitor Rachel Ibbison

After becoming comfortable with my career as a teacher, I still was searching for my outlet of performing. I always wanted to compete in fitness, and finally attended a competition. I found out about Cathy Savage and started working with her in March of 2007. Her staff has taught me everything I need to know about competing as well as living a healthy, happy lifestyle.

My first competition was on August 18th, 2007. I was very pleased with my first season. I competed in Fitness New York, Fitness Atlantic, Kumite, and Miami Universe. I compete in Fitness and Bikini. I love every minute of it, and I could never get through all of this without the support of my husband.

We currently reside in Norwich, CT. Jimmy is a welder/steamfitter for Local 777. Rachel is a teacher, fitness instructor, and personal trainer. We are in the process of starting our own personal training business. It's great to have a support system in your own home. We motivate each other everyday to keep focused on our goals of health and fitness.

Fitness Atlantic was our first show together. We had an amazing time training with each other. We have so many great memories from Fitness Atlantic. It was such a wonderful surprise when Jimmy won the Men's Model division. We look forward to competing again at Fitness Atlantic 2009!
