Debbie O'Toole
For the 20 years, Debbie O'Toole has been committed to helping people of all ages, shapes and sizes change their lives through fitness. Debbie was inspired at a very young age when an overweight friend, who was tired of bearing the brunt of many cruel jokes, tired of how she looked and just plain tired of being tired, turned to Debbie for help. Debbie counseled her on proper diet and nutrition and customized a running and exercise program. Her friend lost weight, and most importantly, kept it off. She has positive attitude and feels strong physically and mentally. Glad to have made such a positive impact, Debbie has been helping people ever since.
From the beginning, Debbie's "YOU CAN DO IT TOO!" motto has helped her and others keep their fitness goals on track even while juggling the responsibilities of family and career. Debbie understands that in today's hustle and bustle world, diet and exercise are always the first to slip. She believes, however, that you can stay focused and accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. With her enthusiasm and energy, Debbie encourages people every day to exercise and eat right to feel great, stay healthy and maintain control over their life.
Debbie understands how staying fit contributes to a positive attitude. Through the years, she has expanded her knowledge and compiled a wealth of fitness education including certification with AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and ACE (American Council on Exercise) including nutrition. Debbie attributes a tremendous amount of her success to her father. He taught her to do things in life that make you feel good. He was right. Debbie is truly at her best when she is helping others to feel good about themselves.
Currently, Debbie is the Owner and Director of "O"Zone Fitness Center in Trumbull, Connecticut where she leads a dedicated team of instructors and designs dynamic fitness programs at a busy 3,000-member fitness club. Debbie also runs her own personal training company that emphasizes her practical, motivational and enthusiastic approach to fitness.
Debbie is 43 years old and lives in Fairfield, Connecticut with her husband, Ken, two teenage sons, Michael and Nico, and her young daughter, Rachel. In her free time, Debbie trains in Karate and Black Tiger Kung Fu where she as competed and won. She also enjoys many outdoor activities, especially skiing with her family.
