Alicia "Krispy Kreme" Marie

Birth date: December 15, 1975 A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BA in neuroscience and graduate work in broadcast news and feature writing, Alicia Marie Denson is an insanely high-energy beauty who has achieved success at everything to which she has set her mind. This is not about ego, but rather her supreme self-confidence and passionate drive to be the best. She even proclaimed her destiny as a toddler. "When I was two-and-a-half years old, I was looking up at the starry night sky and told my mom and grandmother, 'I'm going to be a star one day'". Accomplishing the impossible is pretty much business as usual for Alicia. At age 23, her modeling career was already well underway when Jergens chose her for its international ad campaign for its butt and thigh firming lotion. A close-up photo of her cellulite-free derriere was featured in ads appearing in almost every women's magazine, on billboards and even subway walls all over the country and internationally. Alicia parents moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Naugatuck, Connecticut where she grew up and her two sisters Michelle and Elizabeth were born. They had one and a half bathrooms with four women in the house and her father barely ever saw the inside of the bathroom. Although Naugatuck was a great place to grow up Alicia knew when she was 11 years old she wanted to move to New York. As a child Alicia participated in cheerleading, dance, and softball. She always had lots of energy and her school teachers would tell her parents is was "very spirited". When she got to high school she realized her long legs could help her jump very high and she became the regional high jumping champion until she tore her Achilles tendon and she continued to do cheerleading throughout college. Alicia's mother entered her in model searches and pageants when she was 15. She did a small mall runway show and continued to model locally. While she was still in college around 1994, she had a local modeling job and was referred to some agents in Boston and New York. It was great money on the side while she was still in college. She went on to do some graduate work in broadcast journalism and hosted several local TV shows, which led to a job working for the MTV television network.
After college Alicia didn't have an outlet for her energy and competitive spirit and that is why she entered her first fitness competition. Alicia heard about the Fitness Atlantic Pageant and Ms Bikini Atlantic and wrote an email to Brian Cannone the promoter her email simply said "I want to do this show!" and from there Brian referred her to Cathy Savage's Prep Camp and when she went to the camp she walked in with a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts and that is how she got the nickname Kripsy Kreme. Since Alicia was in such great condition regardless of her sweet tooth Cathy sent Alicia to the Bikini South Beach show in March as a warm-up and Alicia won the overall title at the South Beach event and took 2nd place at the Ms Bikini Atlantic and the overall win at Ms. Bikini Universe. Her biggest role model is her mom and she said her mother has always been there through all the weird things she has done. If she told her mother she wanted to be a fudge maker, she would go out and buy her a fudge machine. Her mother has always supported her and is as genuine as they come and that is how Alicia wants people to see her. Her beauty tips include using make-up remover daily and Neutrogena Deep Clean and a daily moisturizer. As far as her hair, it is very curly and she uses Sebastian Potion #9 and Frizeez. It keeps her hair from looking like a straight-up Afro. She has her nails done but she doesn't whiten her teeth but thought about it after going to California and seeing regular people with super white teeth. She uses shimmering bronzers on her skin and MAC Shimmer Glam on her body since it makes her feel like a superstar.
Diet tips would be to keep your processed foods to a minimum and because Alicia is lactose intolerant she doesn't eat diary products. Her typical diet consists of oatmeal with cinnamon and raisons for breakfast snacks of mixed nuts, applesauce, raw vegetables, or a protein bar throughout the day, lunch may be Chinese food steamed brown rice, tofu, and vegetables, or sushi. Dinner might be salmon or grilled chicken with a salad. As far as supplements go she loves her Hydroxycut, especially before workouts. She says, don't be scared of carbohydrates and let yourself have good carbs. That keeps you from binging or freaking out on a strict diet. How does Alicia define beauty - a person's beauty has to come from the inside. We all talk about inner beauty but does in count in the real world Alicia says yes, and it is important for people to never get caught up in their own hype. Humility is beautiful. A true goddess is someone who is 100% true to who she is and someone who is confident, but not cocky. Someone who never compromises on who she is and what she is about, so she is a role model for others. Any woman can be a goddess. It's all about your inner appeal and the way you carry yourself. Be true to who you are and believe in yourself. As my mom says, sincerity will always carry you through.
